Vornado marked another banner year in 2021 with progress on their ESG goals and new enhancements to further their leadership in the real estate industry. Odgis + Co had the pleasure of designing the Vornado 2021 Environmental, Social and Governance website and report for the ninth year.
The friendly homepage and menu allow the reader to have greater control over navigating their experience. The ESG website is located within the main Vornado site and can also be accessed by its own URL.
The Vornado ESG website and PDF file allow for interactivity with hyperlinks and animated infographics that bring the information to life. The site makes it easy to navigate robust, comprehensive information. Animations, videos and interactive
infographic dashboards simplify and clarify the Vornado story with a compelling visual approach. The design is kept clean by utilizing “drawers” of information that can expand and collapse.
The publication is designed in a horizontal format to optimize readability for both desktop and tablet viewing. The
interactive PDF file can be printed from a link on the website.
This year we added a section called Footprints which is a summary of Vornado's highlights and outstanding achievements:
• Progress with their decarbonization strategy at NYC PENN District.
• Alignment of their goals with the Science Based Targets initiative and commitment to a 64% reduction by 2030.
• Procurement of Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) to document commitment to renewable energy and the environment.
• Application of their full $750 million in bond proceeds to eligible green projects.
• Maintenance of their Vendor Integrity Program and Vendor Code of Conduct and commencement of a comprehensive impact evaluation program with their critical suppliers.
• Development of innovative programs, like beekeeping, to promote ecological health.
All of Vornado's industry-leading programs help improve quality of life for their tenants and the surrounding communities. Our design makes it easy to understand all the groundbreaking work they do.
